Wood is at the heart of everything we make at Zenbooth. 🪵🫶 Our privacy booths are built at our factory in Berkeley, California, and most of our wood comes from the Pacific Northwest.
Now our reforestation efforts are moving closer to home, too.
Through our sustainability partner Greenspark, Zenbooth is supporting reforestation in Oregon, restoring forests damaged by severe wildfires and rebuilding habitat for the wildlife that lives there.
Giving Back to the Forests We Source From
Zenbooth has supported reforestation projects around the world for years. We plant one tree for every booth that’s built. 🌳 Now we are focusing that work in Oregon to connect our impact more closely to where our materials are sourced.
Our booths are primarily made of wood, and because we care about domestic sourcing, much of that wood is sourced from the Pacific Northwest. Investing back into forests in that same region makes sense for us. It's a more direct relationship between what we use and where we're helping restore the natural resources.
See what reforestation looks like on the ground in Oregon.

Helping Oregon's Forests Recover From Wildfires
As a California neighbor, we know how deeply severe wildfires affect our communities. We’ve seen the destruction firsthand, and Oregon’s forests have faced that same devastating reality. During the 2020 Labor Day windstorms, five megafires and 12 smaller fires burned across the state, destroying forests, displacing communities, and wiping out wildlife habitat.
The damage doesn't end with the trees. Deer and elk lose the forest cover and food they depend on. Cougars and bears lose connected habitat. Damaged forests affect the waterways that support trout, and threatened species like the spotted owl depend on forest habitat for survival.
Reforestation gives these ecosystems a chance to recover. As the forest grows back, it can once again become habitat for the animals that lived there before the fires.
That's the part of tree planting that can get lost when we talk about numbers. We're helping bring back a forest and everything that calls it home.
Making Sure the Trees We Plant Are Making It
Planting a tree is easy to claim. We're more interested in what happens to the tree through the entire lifecycle.
We've been supporting reforestation for years, and we've learned that the quality and verification of our tree planting projects matter. We want to know where our trees are being planted, how they're being cared for, and whether the forest restoration is actually working.
The Oregon project is monitored using soil sensors, dendrometers, tree-vision technology and weather stations. These tools track growing conditions and how the trees are doing over time.
The project also uses bioacoustic sensors to record bird calls and track changes in bird populations and behavior. Birds respond quickly to changes in their environment, so that data can help show how the broader ecosystem is recovering.
We take our reforestation partnerships seriously and care that our impact is more than a claim.
Creating American Jobs While Rebuilding American Forests

We're an American manufacturer, and we're proud of that. 🇺🇸
Every Zenbooth is designed, engineered, and manufactured by our team at our factory in Berkeley, CA, and we care about sourcing our materials from US manufacturers whenever possible.Â
We care about supporting American businesses to create local jobs that make our communities strong. When we source from a U.S. supplier, we strengthen the network of people and companies we rely on, and the communities they live in. When another company buys from us, it helps sustain our team in Berkeley. Focusing our reforestation efforts in Oregon gives us another opportunity to invest back in our neighbors.
For every 10,000 trees planted through the Oregon project, approximately 40 workdays are created for local residents. Those are people doing real work in their own communities, restoring forests in their own backyard.
That's the kind of reciprocal community we want to help create and be part of.
Sustainability at Zenbooth
Reforestation is one piece of how we approach sustainability at Zenbooth. We manufacture in Berkeley, source the majority of our components from U.S. suppliers, use renewable and recycled materials where possible, and continue working to reduce waste in how our booths are made.
Bringing our tree planting to Oregon connects that work back to one of the materials we depend on most.
We build with wood from the Pacific Northwest, but sustainability doesn’t stop with just creating an eco-friendly product. It means investing in the forests, people, and communities that make our work possible and taking responsibility for the resources we use.
