Privacy matters everywhere, but especially in shared spaces.
Libraries, schools, coworking spaces, and community centers all have something in common: they're shared by people with different needs, schedules, and reasons for being there. One person might need a quiet place for a virtual interview. Another might be taking a telehealth appointment, attending an online class, or simply looking for somewhere to concentrate.
At Zenbooth, we believe everyone deserves access to a comfortable, private space when they need one. And for the organizations providing those spaces, managing access should be simple.
That's why we're excited to introduce our newest upgrade: the Zenbooth Code Lock.

Additional Privacy. Skip the Keys.
Zenbooths have long been available with traditional keyed locking doors. Now, we're introducing another option for spaces where managing physical keys isn't always practical.
Our new code lock provides convenient, keyless access, making it easier for organizations to share their Zenbooths with the people who need them.
No more handing out keys, keeping track of who has them, or searching for a missing key when someone needs access.
It's a small change that can make a meaningful difference in how shared spaces are managed.
Made for Spaces That Bring People Together
We love seeing Zenbooths used in environments that serve their communities. Our new code lock is an especially useful addition for:
-
Libraries: Offer patrons a private space for studying, virtual appointments, job interviews, and other activities while simplifying access for library staff.
-
Schools and universities: Make quiet study spaces, private meeting areas, and shared booths easier to manage across students and staff.
-
Coworking spaces: Give members a convenient way to access private booths throughout their workday.
-
Community centers: Provide more flexibility when offering private spaces for meetings, calls, and other individual needs.
-
Offices: Make it easier for teams to share booths without distributing and managing physical keys.
Different spaces have different needs. Our goal is to give organizations more options for creating environments that work for the people using them.
Thoughtful Design Goes Beyond the Booth
We've always believed that a great workspace should support the people who use it.
That philosophy shapes everything from our adjustable lighting and ventilation to our acoustic design and accessibility considerations.
Our new code lock is another way we're building flexibility into the Zenbooth experience.
For people using a booth, keyless access means one less thing to worry about. For the people managing it, it means less time handing out and keeping track of physical keys. And for shared spaces, that peace of mind matters.
How Does the Zenbooth Code Lock Work?
Our new Code Lock Upgrade makes it easy to manage access to your Zenbooth without keeping track of physical keys. It's a simple, fully mechanical (non-digital) system designed for shared spaces.

š Easy Keyless Access
To unlock your Zenbooth, press the āCā button to reset the keypad, then enter your access code using the buttons on the outside of the door. You don't need to enter the code again to lock it, and an interior thumb-turn lets you operate the lock from inside the booth.
Need to update who has access? The code can be changed using a screwdriver, without taking the keypad apart.
āļø Mechanical, Not Digital
Unlike electronic keypad locks, our Code Lock operates entirely mechanically. That means no batteries to replace, no wiring to install, and no Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or app required.
It's a straightforward way to offer keyless access without adding another piece of technology to manage.
āæ A Note on Accessibility
The Code Lock Upgrade is not ADA compliant, so it may not be suitable for spaces that require full ADA compliance locking hardware. Our team can help you determine which option is appropriate for your space.
Find the Right Setup for Your Space
Whether you're adding private booths to a library, creating quiet spaces on campus, or making your office more flexible, choosing the right features can make a big difference in how your space works day to day.
With both keyed and code lock options available, you can choose the setup that makes the most sense for your organization and the people who use it.
